Passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2015 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 61 years. Beloved father of Mandy(John)Belec, Marie(Afshin)Shams, Nicole(Dave)Burch and Alphonse(Rebecca Locke)Decarie. Cherished Jaja of Alyssa, Emily, Hailey, Hannah, Avery, Lauren, Liam and Tatum. Dear brother of Sandra Michelle(Michael)Heshmat and Anthony Alfred Zielinski. Gerald will be lovingly remembered by his nieces Alyssa Heshmat and Kendra Diane Zielinski, nephew Adrian Heshmat, by the Renkiewicz family and by his many family and friends. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa(south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road)905-440-3595 on Thursday, April 30th from 1:00-2:00pm. A service to celebrate Gerald’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gerald may be made to the University Health Network.
