Passed away peacefully, on Friday, January 9, 2015, at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Harry Charan. Loving and devoted mother of Lutchmie Charan-McCarthy (Edward), Savitri Sitahal (Rajin), Radhakah Charan-Ramdass (Kelvin), Krishna (Sharon Singh-Charan), the late Tara Charan-Boodoo (Boyie), and the late Gayatri. Cherished Mama of grandchildren Nataisha, Anjanie, Nivash, Kyle, Nicole, Shelley, Sheena, Rishi, Justin, Tisha, Kris, Tyler, and Avery, and of twelve great grandchildren. Samdaye will be forever cherished and greatly missed by her family and friends here in Canada and abroad. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (South side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road) on Friday, January 16th from 6:00pm-9:00pm. A service to celebrate Samdaye’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel on Saturday, January 17th at 9:00am. Cremation services will be held at Thornton Crematorium, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa. In memory of Samdaye, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society (http://www.arthritis.ca/donate).
