Passed away at home surrounded by the love of his family on January 6th, 2015. Devoted husband of Janice. Loving father of Lisa, Jamie(Sherry), and Annamaria(Mike). Cherished Papa of Syrraiah, Khadijah, Joshua, Rebekkah(Keanan), Brandee(Matt) and cherished Nonno of Matteo, Arianna and Lakeyn. Dear brother of Gemma, Antonio, Claudio, Bruno, Nino, and Luigi and brother-in-law of Terry(Suzann). A very special thank you to Rick Roznik for his love and devotion, and to Dr. Moreau and the medical staff for their tender care. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road) on Thursday, January 8th from 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 9th at 11:00am at St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church, 411 Olive Avenue, Oshawa. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. In memory of Alberto, donations may be made to the Sick Kids Foundation or to the War Amps of Canada.
