Passed away peacefully on December 31, 2014 at Lakeridge Health-Whitby at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Stewart. Loving mother of Eileen(Bruce), Wayne(Carolyn), Brenda(the late Doug) and Clyde(Lori). Cherished grandmother of 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Dear sister of Madge Cooper. Cora will be fondly remembered by her family and friends here and in Newfoundland. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Michelle Acorn and the 4th floor staff at Lakeridge Health-Whitby. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa(south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road)905-440-3595 on Thursday, January 8th from 10:00-11:30am. A service to celebrate Cora’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sick Kid’s Foundation.
