Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at age 84. Beloved husband of 57 years to Lillina (nee Scanga). Loving father of Tommasina (late Joseph Bozzo), Mario Mazzei (late Nancy) and Frank (Sharon). Loved Nonno of Lisa, Matthew, Andrew, Steven and Bis Nonno of Milanya. Dear brother of Rina (predeceased), Salvatore, Ugolina and Rosa. Galdino will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The Mazzei family wish to thank the staff of the Lakeridge Health Emergency Department for their care and support. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road) 905-440-3595 on Friday, December 12th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of the People Catholic Church, 570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa on Saturday, December 13th at 10am. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. In memory of Galdino, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Wheels of Hope-Transportation Program.
